Smithland, Ky

Track Description: The Smithland track is located in the Livingston County fairgrounds. It is a second/third gear, clay oval short track. There is a permanent grandstand on the spectator straight and portable aluminum stands on the pit side. Track visibility is excellent from the stands. A chain-link fence surrounds the track for spectator protection. Hay bales are set up at critical points. The TT course uses an inner loop inside the outer loop and the total length of the oval track is extended on one end. This makes for a sizable and fast TT course. There are a limited number of water and electricity hookups for RV’s. Restrooms are portable. There is an operating concession stand. Entrance roads are paved, parking areas are grass. There is ample parking.

Directions: Get to the center of Smithland on US 60 as shown on the courtesy Mapquest map link below. The fairgrounds are about a mile or two north of the center city on US60 just across the bridge. The entrance is well-marked. From the entrance road, the pit area is to the right of track. Spectator parking is immediately inside entrances.
