Greenville, Ky

Track Description: The tracks are located on the Muhlenberg County Exhibition Center grounds. There are two tracks, an indoor clay oval in the "rodeo arena" and a new outdoor, 1/5 mile, slightly banked clay oval. Normally, the indoor is used for winter racing but will be back-up for inclement weather on outdoor race dates. The M/C's and Quads haven't raced the outdoor track yet so there's not much to tell except it looks pretty good from a racer's standpoint. Both tracks are hard-pack clay. The indoor will develop a blue groove under favorable conditions. Otherwise, expect everything in-between including dry-slick, wet-slick or just plain tacky. Most racing will be "under the lights." There is ample parking in the track areas. Concessions are available. Of course, during county fair races the grounds are congested with amusements, livestock and so on.

Directions: Get to the intersection of US431 and the Western Kentucky Parkway (exit 58?) as shown on the courtesy Mapquest map link below. Go north on US431 less than a mile to Central City and the intersection with US62. Go west on US62 at the traffic signal. Go approximately four miles on this road, turn left at the sign for the Muhlenberg County Exposition Center. You can see the Expo. Center from the sign.
