Sconyers Smokin' Again
By Bobby Lewis

Chase Sconyers made his annual trip from Georgia to Kentucky and delivered a 1-2-3 punch as he swept every race he entered in dominating fashion. Sconyers easily topped the Open-Pro main along with the Jimmy Grief Memorial dash for cash then proceeded to hole-shot the Open Pro-Am final. He put distance on the field and rode on to another easy win.

Jason Goodwin came through the pack to place a firm second while Aaron Ladd pulled a final lap low-line pass on Jeremy Anderson to pull down third.

Justin Hanna led the Open Amateurs from flag to flag after holding back Anderson to second. Jeff Carver filled the podium over Tyler Porter, Colby Chandler, Tracy Gibbs, Dakota Simmons, David Barnett and Steven Parkhurst.

Carver held the 200 cc Amateur class at bay then eased away to take the Pro-Am win over Jake Lewis and Jonathan Heiden. Nikki Spore won the fourth place position after a race long bout with Frankie Lee Gillim and Levi Mayer.

Chris Shindeldecker led the Seniors into turn one but Mike Ladd had the hot hand and took the point to ride to the win. John Faulkner came through to second with Dallas Mayer fourth over Bill Zentmyer and John Gilligan.

Katie Hawkins was impressive in the 250 cc class winning both the heat and final over Chandler, Gillim, Nathaniel Vowell, James Finnell, Simmons and Jenny Gray.
