Hanna, Lewis top PIR
By Bobby Lewis

A light rider turnout tonight did not slow down the racing action at Paducah’s International Raceway. Jake Lewis nailed 7 of 8 hole shots to score wins in the 65, 85, 200 Amateur and 200 Pro-Am short track and TT’s.

Colby Chandler kept the heat on, looking to stick a wheel under to run a very close second in the 85-200cc divisions.

Justin Hanna ran away with the 250cc and Open-Pro classes with big wins each time out.

Jacob Morris ran and hid from Hunter Abernathy and Dustin Demuth in the 50 shaft classes, then turned around and did the same in the chain class.

Blake Tabor swept the Trail Rider class producing his first wins of the season. Evan Fields kept him honest from the second spot over Nathaniel Vowell.

The closest racing of the night came from the Vet and Senior classes. Gene Yopp, Steve Nace and Ed Clark ran three abreast in both classes with Yopp taking the narrow win in the Vet class.

Nace took his brake-less Yamaha to the top of the track in the Senior class and found a line that worked as he took the top spot this time over Yopp and Clark.
