Goodwin Great at PIR
By Bobby Lewis

Jason Goodwin mastered the high bank tonight at PIR in Paducah, KY. He used both practice and heat races to try the lines from the bottom to the top. When the hammer dropped in the Open Pro main he used all of them and took a convincing win riding on the back wheel to the flag. Aaron Ladd held on to second after being under fire from Chase Sconyers for the duration. Ben Morton would hold off Jeremy Anderson and Stephen Hartzel for fourth.

Jeff Jones went to the front of the Vet class and never looked back in taking the win. Rod Hartzel kept him honest in second while Mike Dunaway ran third over Gene Yopp, Tony Graham and Ed Clark.

Hartzel was the top gun in the Senior class with a runaway victory over Yopp, Dennis Porter, Phil Elken, Clark and Super Senior winner J.T. Woods.

Dunaway smoked to the win in the 70 Singles class over Phil Elken and Dover Vanacker.Zach Oliffe was untouchable in the 200cc Pro-Am and 85cc classes. Oliffe jetted to the lead in the 85cc class and won by a large margin. Cody Brown held off a strong charge from Jake Lewis for second while Jesse Taber ran to fourth.

Dakota Simmons topped Tony Graham for the 250cc Amateur win and was runner-up to Stevie Nace on the Mad Dogs. Colby Chandler got the best of April Ladd on the Stock XR100's.

Luke Baird topped both the 50cc Shaft finals on the short track and the TT as did Lewis in the 50cc Chain and 65cc classes.

Sconyers was the 250cc Pro winner on the TT over Ben Morton while James Specogni was the 200cc Pro-Am TT champion over Gary Thornton.

Tyler Porter carded the win in the 250cc Amateur TT final over Dakota Simmons with Simmons once again second on the Mad Dogs behind Chris Fristoe.
