Kentucky Dirt Track Series Hannah, Carver, The Cushion Masters The KY dirt track series fair circuit swung to the half-mile tonight in Mayfield. A beautifully prepared track only got better as a light rain fell just before the mains got underway.
Illinois riders Justin Hanna and Jeff Carver were two key players as they ran 1-2 in the Open Amateur class.
Hanna then pounced on the Open Pro-Am division and ran away to a convincing win. Jeremy Anderson used the high line to move to second past Carver. Chaz Landers held on to fourth over Colby Chandler, Dakota Simmons and Justin Lake.

Carver then proceeded to double up by taking commanding wins in the 250 Amateur and 200cc Pro-Am classes. Kent Briggs came from a three-way scrap for the lead in the Open-Pro class. Once in front he broke away leaving Nick Daniels to hold off Jason Goodwin for the runner-up spot. Andy Goodwin moved through the field for fourth over Colt Chebultz, Dean Faulkner, Aaron Ladd and Coty Bowland. Daniels used the top of the cushion to run to the Vet class win as did Steve Nichols in the Senior division. Ian Keith topped the 65cc riders and recorded a pair of seconds to Louisiana rider Cory Richard. Richard took the wins in the 200cc Amateur and 85cc classes with a convincing ride each time on the track. |
