2004-2005 Indoor Dirt Track Series Snyder Scary Fast With ghost and goblins out for the Halloween weekend, IL rider Kevin Synder hauled home the treats. Snyder was never beaten into turn one and hauled in four wins on the night.
He led the 505 Pro TT with Mike Hacker chasing looking for a slip. Hacker slid out while Snyder never bobbled on his way to the win. Eldred Bristol moved into second over Scott Larm and Tadahiro Fukaya while Hacker remounted to finish fifth.
The Open Pro TT was almost a carbon copy with Snyder topping 450cc winner Bristol, Fukaya and Larm.
After easing through the 450cc short track Snyder found Hacker breathing down his back in the 505 Pro class. Hacker could stick a wheel in but couldn’t quite make the pass and finished a close second. Jason Goodwin had been working the high line and wound his way into third over Bill Gruwell and Tim Eades.
Hacker stalked Snyder once again in the Open Pro final and finally got the pass made to take the win. Snyder stayed a close second while Chris Boone narrowly held onto third over Goodwin. Cody Bowland filled in the top five over Eades, Bristol, Larm, Fukaya and Gruwell.
Kelly Klynstra ruled the roost in the Vet, Senior and Super Senior classes with a near clean sweep. His only loss on the night coming from Special Ed Clark who took the Vet win over Klynstra and Ron Anderson.

Jeff Carver was smooth and fast as he took the hole-shots and wins in the 200cc Pro-Am ranks. Michael Johnson ran him close on the TT with Hayden Gillim a close third. Robert Christman would rail past Frankie Lee Gillim, Nathaniel Vowell and Kyle Snyder for fourth. Hayden and Snyder diced for second on the short track with Hayden getting the spot. Johnson led Nikki Spore, Jake Lewis, Frankie Lee and Colby Chandler for the fourth position. Carver also topped the 200cc Amateur short track. Nikki Spore recorded her first win of the series as she went to the front of the TT. The 85cc class found a full twelve rider field and Hayden led the pack through turn one. He never bobbled as Johnson, Lewis and Frankie Lee looked for a mistake and finished in order. Blake Tabor held off Vowell, Dillon Atkins, Andrew Johnson, Hayden Granda, Jacob Cunningham and Ricky Leak for the next spot. Michael Johnson added the 85cc TT to his win list as he hole-shot the field and added it to his 250 Amateur and 160cc 4-stroke victories. Hacker and Eades had plenty of company in the Mad Dog fields but when the flag flew it was Hacker taking a pair of wins. Danny Walker was third each time out while putting on a show with a crowd-pleasing, case-dragging slide that he worked to perfection. |
