KY Dirt Track Series Nace’s Nice Ride Stevie Nace had the indoor wired tonight as he scored wins in five out of six classes entered.
Recent rains found the outdoor quarter mile unraceable and the racing was turned indoors where starts are a must. Nace had them dialed in best as he hole-shot the Maddog and 250cc Pro mains in both short track and TT on his route to the wins. Tyler Porter and Dakota Simmons chased him home in each class.
Nace led Porter into the infield in the Open Pro TT and continued to stretch a lead leaving Porter to hold off Billy Gruwell and Cody Bowland for second.
Gruwell was ready in the Pro short track and nailed the start and split for the win. Porter was once again second with Nace slipping past Bowland late in the race for third.
Hayden Gillim controlled the 65cc and 200cc classes in each event. Gillim hole-shot both 65cc mains holding off Jake Lewis and Ethan Gillim for the wins. Evan Fields ran to fourth on the TT but let Nick McFadden slip past for the position moving him to fifth on the oval.

Hayden’s sweep of the 200’s found Colby Chandler pressuring for the spot in the short tracks and Frankie Lee Gillim on the TT. Chandler led the way in the 85cc short track holding Hayden at bay over Frankie Lee. Trail rider winner Nathaniel Vowell and Ethan. Chandler went to the front of the 85cc TT also but could not hold off Frankie Lee’s pass in the infield. Frankie Lee rode on to the win over Chandler, Hayden, Lewis, VoweD, Blake Tabor, Nikki Spore and Ethan. McFadden swept the 50cc shaft classes and appeared to have the chain TT class in the bag, but went down at the halfway mark leaving Jacob Morris to hold off Ethan and Luke Baird for the win. Morris hole-shot the chain short track and went on to score the win over McFadden, Ethan and Baird. Kelly Bell topped the stock XR100 short track and John Lampkin scored wins in the 250/Open Amateur classes. |
