Kentucky Dirt Track Series Chandler, Lewis Cop Clinton Wins The fair circuit ran its final midweek race of the season tonight at Clinton, Ky. Colby Chandler was in fine form as he swept the 250cc Amateur ranks with hole- shots on the short track and TT that led to runaway wins. James Finnell rode solid to second each time while Nathaniel Vowell and Kerry Green swapped for third.
Chandler then did an instant replay in the Open Amateur short track leaving Patrick Pyle to hold off Erhardt Heisner for second.

The Open Amateur TT saw Chandler back out front but Dakota Simmons was on the move and made a mid-race pass to ride on to a close win over Chandler, Pyle and Colt Broyles. Chandler was back in the Open Pro-Am class but had to settle for a pair of seconds as Aaron Ladd went for a perfect night sweeping both this class and the stock XR100 division. Jake Lewis went seven of eight classes by hole-shotting every event. The 85cc saw his rear wheel give up in the last corner while Brett Neville took the win over Evan Fields. Nikki Spore was on the gas as she swept the Mad Dog classes and was a solid second in the 200cc Pro-Am ranks chasing Lewis to the flag. Randy Blackwell rode strong to win the Super Senior class while Destiny Ham continued her winning ways in the 50cc Shaft class. |
