West KY Dirttrack Series Lewis Lassoes Bardwell Wins The Kentucky Dirttrack Series returned to Bardwell for round five and found a rougher-than-normal track. The surface did allow for multiple lines which produced some good racing. Jake Lewis found the track suited him as he won five of the six classes he entered. He rode to convincing win in the 50cc Chain and 65cc Short Track and TT classes.
When the 85cc TT field hit turn one, Jonathan Heiden led the way over Nikki Spore, Mike Heiden and Lewis. Then Lewis used the high line to move to second off turn two and used a late-braking maneuver to take the lead as they turned into the infield. Jonathan kept the pressure on looking to pass, but Lewis never bobbled in the eight lap dash and carded the win. Spore rode to third, while Cody Brown held off Jesse Tabor for fourth.
Jonathan led the Short Track feature down the back stretch and took off to a runaway win. Brown ran second for the entirety, holding off Lewis at the line. Tabor held on to another fourth place finish over Spore and Mike.
Chris Ragan made a successful return to racing with wins in both the 250cc Amateur and 200cc Pro-Am classes. He used two perfect hole shots to do the deed. Erhardt Heisner, Dakota Simmons and Kenny Kondoudis … Ragan took the win by a wheel, … rode to third over Heisner.

Gene Yopp ran a perfect line on the way to the Senior class victory. Dennis Porter and Ed Clark improved on their heat race results to run second and third, respectively. Clyde Modlin moved from the back of the field up to fourth over Byron Ward, Dave Brown and Steve Parrish.
John Faulkner held off a determined Dean Faulkner to take the win in the Vet class. Brown initially sat in third before taking a hard high-side on the back straight. Yopp barely missed the cartwheeling machine and took the third position over Ward, Clark and Kondoudis.
Aaron Ladd led the Faulkner brothers on the opening lap of the Open Pro final. Ladd never moved from his spot despite constant pressure from John and took a narrow win.
Ladd came back to dominate the Mad Dog TT over Simmons, Stevie Nace and Jeff Spore. Nace topped a close Short Track final over Simmons in the class with Simmons taking the 250cc amateur TT win.
Nick McFadden was untouchable in the 50cc Shaft division. He won both the Short Track and TT classes by a straightaway. Jacob Morris won the battle for second over Dylan Douglas. Lexie Bealmar rode to fourth in each division.
