The final round of the Southeast Nationals got underway today with a track in perfect condition. Rain moved in after the heat races and after a two hour delay racing resumed. The track was completely different for the main events but a few classes found the winners on the top for all three rounds. Kyle McGrane topped the 50cc shaft class as did Robert hall in the 50cc Senior class. Ethan Gillim doubled-up by winning both the 65cc modified and DTX classes. Nick McFadden and Ryan Rutland diced back and forth for second ineach division with McFadden claiming the spot in the Mod class and Rutland in the DTX. Hayden Gillim topped the 85cc 7-11 and 9-13 fields with a clean sweep in the 9-13 division. Hayden and Jake Lewis went at it in the 7-11 class until Lewis' day ended with a hard get-off. Hayden jetted away on the restart leaving Ethan to hold off Austin Conant for second. Evan Fields came through for fourth over Ryan Rutland, McFadden, Logan Demaa and Tyler Tudor. Jacob Cunningham had a perfect record to take the 85cc 12-15 class and was in a battle with Frankie Lee Gillim for the top spot on the 125's. A good ride by Frankie Lee gave him the win and overall while Cunningham fell off while in the lead pack. Nikki Spore put in a solid ride for second over Wade Johnson and Michael Heiden. The 250cc classes saw Brandon Robinson sweep the 2-stroke class as he held off a hard race long charge by Jeff Carver to take the final win. Frankie Lee found the final podium spot by edging out Jonathan Heiden and Jacob White. Stephen Vanderkuur and Carver were each moving the line higher and higher as they argued over the 250DTX class. Vanderkuur was in the right spot as he held on to edge Carver out at the finish line. Payton Sassaman was close third over Frankie Lee, Levi Mayer, Gordon Schopieray and Adam Cobb. The 250 Mod 4-stroke class started with pole sitter Vanderkuur sent to the penalty line. As the pack got underway Vanderkuur dove into turn three hard, passing eight riders, but slid down collecting several riders with him. Vanderkuur's night was over and Assassin took control of the second restart and held off Colby Chandler and Dakota Simmons for the win. Adam Cobb would ride to fourth over Ian Steen ,Eric Iddings, Corton Vandezande and Levi Mayer. Carver and Simmons went to the front of the 450cc pack but both riders hit the dirt on the dry slick top of the track. Neither rider was able to restart and Robinson found the winners circle again taking the overall with it. Derek Weber held off Sassaman for second while Chandler claimed fourth over Jed Dunham, D. J. Slosser, Nathaniel Vowell, Jacob White and Patrick Pyle. Kyle Snyder got the start he had been looking for and took a close win in the Pro-Sport ranks over Brock Schwarzenbacher and Justin Hanna. Cody Reifsnider was next over Jeremy Anderson, Jon Goodwin, Brett Sassaman and Andy Goodwin. Chase Sconyers had been fast all day and the Open Pro main was no different as he took a convincing win. Schwarzenbacher kept him honest in second collecting his second class overall along the way. Kevin Snyder was a hard third just topping Hanna while Jason Goodwin led a pack for fifth over Kyle Meirers and Jon Goodwin. Dallas Mayer completed his sweep of the Vet 30+ class with Randy Blackwell topping the Super Senior 50+ riders on the day and took the overall championship. Jeff Jones controlled the Senior class with Marty Allison sliding into second to score the second spot. Allison's ride netted him the number one plate. Robert England was third on the day over Skeeter Williams and Doug Daughtery.
